As things unfold in the just-concluded Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) elective elections held on 2nd August 2025 in Lungi.

In a press release dated 6th August 2025, the legal team of Madam Aminata Bangura, Presidential Candidate in the SLFA polls, has officially initiated a legal action challenging the outcome of the side elections.

Futhermore, Madam Bangura and Co. has filed a petition to SLFA Appeals Committee and currently filling another petition to the court of arbitration for sports CAS, citing serious concerns regarding the credibility, transparency and fairness of the electoral process. She stressed that the due process was not followed and the election was highly compromised by third-party interference.

Meanwhile, she reaffirmed her unwavering dedication to the developments and trantspariculary football in Sierra Leone.

“I was poaaply disqualified by SLFA imposed Ethics Committee but later reinstated by CSA at the eleventh  hours to contest the races.

However, she said Sierra Leone football is totally dark due to the alleaged scam administrators over the years.

“We are going to challenge it at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CSA) in Switzerland. The SLFA  systematically stagemanged and sadly violated Article 37 (a) (b) (c) and (d) of the FA constitution coupled with a corrupt political party in power in Sierra Leone,” Aminata Bangura said.
