As a true statesman with integrity, the patriotic bird has vowed never to compromise any issue that has to do with the welfare of the people and the development of this republic in general.
Everybody knows that, the bird always call things by their names, say what you may this administration has done theirs as a government, but they need to do more.
However, Parrot believes that the government would have achieved more but what he has observed is that it hardly listens to voices that matters.
For instance, journalists have been reporting on newspapers, talk on radio and television about the odds in society but the government has refused to pay attention to them.
Being a nationalist who wants nothing but the development of this nation, Parrot will never get tired to put the government on its toes whether they like it or not.
They should know that they are duty bound not only to listen but perform their duties and responsibilities as a government.
Nobody could believe that the wise bird and other media houses have for a very long time informing the government about the numerous potholes in the city and the poor road network in general in other parts of the country.
But from the look of things, the Bio led government is very much comfortable with the situation in the city.
The wise bird will not even hesitate to say that institutions that are responsible for the maintenance of roads and other areas are untouchable in the Bio’s administration.
Like the president himself promised that there would be no sacred cows in his administration, the bird also supports him in that direction in the interest of the country.
If he hired and fired the likes of Jacob Jusu Saffa and Lahai Lawrence Leema who fought for him with their lives Parrot believes he should not spear anyone proven to be a deadwood.
Act now Mr. President to save your good name and prevent the country from total collapse.
Take for instance the two main streets from the Eastern to central of the city, Kissy Road and Fourah Bay Road their conditions are nothing good to write home about as they have become an eyesore.
It will surprise people to note that there are potholes even in front of SLRA, the institution that is responsible for the maintenance of roads. The situation is indeed shameful!
Over the weekend, the bird decided to rove from the west to east to find out if there has been little improvement following his persistent reports calling on the concerned authorities to do their homework.
First, he made a stopover at PZ and flew slowly through Sani Abacha Street on to Easter Police to see if the countless potholes have been covered or if the fallen railings have been re-erected, but to his widest dismay, things remained as it were if not worse even.
In fact, with such situation including numerous potholes, the frequent power cuts, one will be ashamed to tell a visitor that Freetown is the capital city.
The bird as usual went out to get the views of sober minded people about the condition of the city.
You will be surprised to know that, stones were thrown at the bird because of the anger they have about the condition of the city.
Some people even referred to the Freetown City Council and the central government as one and the same, others say the SLPP government is not a listening government because journalists have done their work to report.
The bird will continue to tell the people about the odds in society.
Long live the Republic of Sierra Leone!
