Sources within the corridors of the Sierra Leone Police have informed this medium that Ismael Sesay, an activist and a resident at Race Course Road has been declared a wanted person as one of the insurrectionist of the August 10, 2022 protest against the State.

According to credible sources, Ismael Sesay was allegedly seen confronting State security; who were trying to calm down the protesters on August 10, 2022 in Freetown.

The Sierra Leone Police described the protest as illegal, because no permission was issued to protesters.

The protesters were chanting on that fateful day “Maada Bio Must Go”, their action was deemed as illegitimate; and those involved were described as coupist.

The August 10, 2022 insurrection left many people dead including six police officers, host of government properties in Freetown and the North province were vandalized and set ablaze.

Several protesters were captured and charged for obstructing legitimate authority. Those who were fortunate have been declared as fugitives.
