Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Coach Mohamed Kallon has started trainnings together with home-based players and some foreign-based players who are currently on off-season break at the Kingtom Academy in Freetown.
The senior men’s national squad is set to face Guinea Bissau and Ethiopia in September, followed by fixtures against Burkina Faso and Djibouti in October.
Currently, Salone holds third place in Group A of the qualifiers with 8 points, trailing behind Egypt and Burkina Faso. Every point from the forthcoming matches will be critical as the Leone Stars push for a significant qualification to the FIFA World Cup this time around for the final rounds.
