Many concerned citizens are curious to know about the ongoing ding dong battle between the Ministry of Works, Government Assets Commission and M.B Aruna over HS 19 Government quarter before but has now been changed to 26 Regent Road, Hill Station.
Truly known, many names are on the list for ACC investigation. This press has documents and pictures in relation to the unfolding scenarios about citizens that have over the years grabbed and converted Government properties into private ownership.
Nevertheless, Mr. M.B Aruna has vehemently negated the Ministry of Works, Government Assets Commission on the HS 19 saga.
What really baffles many concerned citizens that are au-fait with the ugly scenario is the current face look of former HS 19 site which has now been developed into shopping centres.
In a letter dated 2nd May 2007 from Mr. Anthony M.B Aruna addressed to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works, Housing and Technical Management, New England, Freetown explained how fire gutted down HS19, Hill Station requesting for erection of temporary structure to house himself and family speaks volume to the bewilderment of many concerned citizens to beg the question who is saying the truth, Government Assets Commission, Ministry of Works and Mr. M.B Aruna?
Another heart burning curiosity of some patriotic citizens who wants prevalence of probity in the ongoing investigation of the property is whether without any objection letter from the Ministry of Works, Mr. Aruna is qualified to obtain former HS19 government quarter that was burnt a land document.
As the property was government which signifies public ownership and which is why citizens are eager to know if there was any letter of lease or letter to buy from the Ministry of Land.
Infact, what about the letter of application and letter of allocation? Too curious too baffling to many people as how Mr. Aruna attained the place or better put if there is another short to possess such property.
