Twenty-one year old Ibrahim Fofanah unemployed, has made his first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road Court No.2 in Freetown on five count charges of attempted murder contrary to law, wounding with intent to murder, wounding with intent, wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the Offences against the Persons Act of 1861.
According to the particulars of offence, on Sunday 7th September 2025 at New Life City off Wilkinson Road in the western area of Freetown, attempted to murder Vivat Rogers by inflicting injuries on her neck, both hands left side of her face with a knife.
Count two revealed that on the same date and place, the defendant wounded Vivat Rogers with intent to murder her.
In count three, the accused on the same date and place wounded Vivat Rogers with intent to do her grievous bodily harm.
Count four and five further stated that on the above date and place, the defendant maliciously wounded and assaulted Vivat Rogers in a manner thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm.
When the charges were read and explained to the defendant, no plea was taken.
The Prosecutor Sergeant 8811 Florence M Wilson intimated the bench that she has served the defendant who is unrepresented with the necessary documents.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Fornah refused bail and sent the defendant to the male correctional facility in Freetown and adjourned the matter to 20th October 2025.
