The high-level event, scheduled from September 18th to 20th 2025, will serve as a premier platform for strengthening bilateral ties, expanding trade opportunities and fostering strategic partnerships between Sierra Leone and Canada.
As one of Africa’s most influential First Ladies, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio is expected to deliver an impactful keynote address that would highlight Sierra Leone’s growing potential as an investment destination. With her glaring proven track record in championing development, women’s empowerment, and global advocacy, her presence at this all-important forum underscores Sierra Leone’s commitment to economic diplomacy, cultural exchange, and inclusive growth.
The Trade, Investment and Cultural Show will convene government officials, business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and financial institutions from both countries to explore collaboration in key sectors including agriculture, mining, energy, tourism and cultural industries. It is envisioned as a catalyst for unlocking new opportunities that will not only boost economic cooperation but also strengthen people-to-people ties between Sierra Leone and Canada.
Beyond investment, the Trade and Cultural Show is also a celebration of identity and shared heritage. By serving as both Keynote Speaker and Grand Chief Patron, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio is expected to bring global attention to Sierra Leone’s investment landscape and reaffirm her role as a bridge-builder between Africa and the International Community. Her leadership at this forum reflects her deep commitment to positioning Sierra Leone on the global stage as a hub for innovation, trade, investment and sustainable development.
“As a woman and child focused organization, we want to see where women take leadership roles at all levels as this will create the platform for more women to be involved,” the Director of Programs, Mohamed Ngele-Mallah said. He commended the First Lady for her stance in promoting the interest of women and girls both in and out of the country.
