The Sierra Leone U-17 Girls have formally lifted the WAFU Zone A U-17 Girls competition trophy following their skillful consistency showed throughout the race.

In addition, their dominance in the tournament in Liberia with a commanding 4–1 victory over the host nation, uplifted the champions with a game to spare following a 1–1 draw against Senegal. Sierra Leone finished at the top of the group with 10 points, remaining unbeaten throughout the competition.

Hopes were alive with two goals in the first half, while Liberia managed a goal just before halftime. In the second half, Sierra Leone added another goal in the 76th minute and sealed the win with 4–1.
