As usual the brave, fearless and patriotic animal is very much concerned about the people and their welfare, unlike other institutions that have no love for their people.
Bra Parrot was and still of the view that, the arrival of the ‘WAKA FINE’ buses is to alleviate the suffering of the people.
But from the look of things that is not the case, rather the buses are here to add more hardship and suffering to the people of this country.
The wise bird, in totality, has frowned at the prices of the buses but that is not the only problem the wise bird has at the moment.
There is another burning issue with regard the poor arrangement of how other transport operators should ply the roads and it is another major concern to the wise bird.
This clearly speaks volume that the buses are not owned directly by government and that government has little or no control over them.
The wise bird has a very big problem with the NLe 10 fare paid per person from pole to pole (destination).
If, indeed, the buses are owned by government; this is the time government should let the people know that that they have come to help the people.
But if the allegedly government buses’ fare is higher than that of the private owned buses, the people think, that in itself is complete a rubbish.
From the understanding of the wise bird the government should always seek the interest of all the people and not just for few people.
That is to say government should allow all sectors to compete on the road and not to drive other transport operators, like the kekeks, poda-podas and okadas from the major streets.
What the brave bird has also noticed is that, government/new buses operators have made a 100% increase fare from NLe 5 to NLe 10 ‘pole to pole’ per person while the other buses are still charging NLe 5 for the same pole to pole.
As usual the wise bird went out to get the views of people and all those the wise bird met expressed similar sentiments on how the government is heartless, unpatriotic and has no love for the people.
The buses are not here to help the poor people; they brought the buses to enrich themselves, the people say.
Others say indeed the buses are not owned by the government, if they are, government should have total control over the buses but from the look of things, government is only supervising Rubbish!
Rubbish! Rubbish!!!
The people have said to the wise bird.
Thank God the brave bird has its own wings to fly pole to pole.
