The alleged fraud case involving Peter Junior Lansana an Engineer made his first appearance before Magistrate Adama Kandeh of Pademba Road Court N.4 on Tuesday, 2025, on a count charge of obtaining money by false pretenses contrary to section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused on Thursday, 19th December, 2024, at Hill Station, Freetown, in the western area of the Republic of Sierra Leone, obtained the sum of thirty one thousand leones (Le31,000) from Isata Fullah by falsely pretending to prepare a survey file plan document for a piece or parcel of land situated and being at Sesay Drive, Hill Station, Freetown, knowing same to be false.
When the charge was read and explained to the defendant he pleaded guilty.
The Prosecutor Inspector A.T Bangura sought for a short adjournment date to lead his first witness.
The defendant was not legally represented at the moment.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Kandeh sent him on remand at the male correctional center in Freetown.
The case has been adjourned to the 4th November 2025, for further hearings.
