It was all but smiles on the faces of two young Sierra Leoneans, Osman Barrie, and Zainab Jawandor at the headquarters of the country’s reliable mobile network Africell yesterday, who were in attendance to receive their respective cash prizes as the latest lucky winners of the monthly and grand draw of the ongoing Win Kopo promotion.
Osman Barrie, a businessman received a cool grand prize of one hundred and fifty thousand new leones (150M old leones), while Zainab Jawandor, a seamstress, walked away with fifteen thousand new leones (15M old leones).
Amidst cries of growing hardship in the country, Africell has continued not only to put smiles on the faces of its revered and loyal customers but importantly has been able to repair some broken homes who were struggling to survive through its life changing promotions since it started operations in the country exactly twenty years ago.
Kamanda Koroma, marketing and communications manager of the Promo insisted that Africell’s mission from the onset is real, transparent and consistent, and that they will never relent to give back to their loyal customers who have defied every odd to stay connected with them.
“With Africell, everyone is a winner,” he proudly stated and encouraged others to have similar faith like the lucky winners. Win Kopo promotion is not fake. It’s a game of chance where everybody stands chance to win, he concluded.
Albdul Karim, a senior member of Africell’s communications department said the presentation is the first for 2025. He said the show which commenced in 2012 aimed primarily at promoting education in stage learning, noting that anytime a subscriber answers questions during the daily programme stands the chance to win daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly draw prizes. He said the programme has attracted winners from across the country, due to its transparency nature. He encouraged everyone to follow the draw, noting there is no need to have influence to be a winner. “Africell is on a mission to transform lives,” Karim said and encouraged the winners to invest their winnings wisely.
Earlier, head of the promotion Madam Jaria said the winning is something worth celebrating; noting that Africell always caters opportunities for its subscribers, the event, she insists was a testament. She also encourages everyone not to give up but continue to try their luck for they might be the next lucky winners.
The proud winners with one accord expressed their gratitude to Africell for the life changing opportunity and assured to stay connected with the company as long as it stays in the country.
