Members of Parliament passed the State of Emergency on the kush fight just months ago.
The emergency was part of the efforts in curbing the illicit use of the substance abuse among the youth.
The Parliamentary Committee on Youth Affairs, during an oversight functions in Bo, handed over 20 packages of harmful substance (Kush) to the Sierra Leone Police at Shelmingo Car Wash Center, situated at Shelmingo in Bo City.
During the oversight, it was observed that there was lack of effective communication and monitoring from the ministry of youths affairs regarding the operations and activities of the various car wash centers.
Whilst the establishment of the car wash facility was meant to reduce youths unemployment by His Excellence President Bio, it has been observed that the car wash facilities across the country are being used by senior officials at the Ministry of Youths and National Youths Commission as stores and shops for their private businesses.
